Exciting news to share with everyone! Our friends at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union have officially rolled out the Larky nudge® platform to their entire membership base! With more than 300,000 members currently, that’s a LOT of people who will be receiving meaningful, relevant information about MSUFCU’s services and community outreach.
“I’m very excited to get the ball rolling on Larky,” said Ami Iceman-Haueter, Chief Research and Digital Experience Officer at MSUFCU. “What’s unique about the nudge® platform is that it allows us to be proactive about helping our members make better financial decisions. We’re not interrupting anyone’s day but we’re giving them information they need, when they need it.”
With Larky nudge® MSUFCU sends customized push notification messaging directly to their members through the mobile banking app. Members can receive information about anything the credit union would wish for them to know, such as:
· Financial wellness tips
· Cash back offers at local merchants
· Relevant loan offers based on products previously purchased or places previously visited (if members have opted to share their location)
· credit limit increases
· MSUFCU-sponsored events
· New or updated branch information
MSUFCU first started working with Larky late last year and created a test pilot program to see how their members would react to communications via push notification. As part of the credit union’s process, they first used Larky on a trial basis with a small group of members to test the effectiveness of the platform and overall member experience. They saw an aggregate 16% tap rate with 80% opt-in to receiving permissions, along with other results (you can read more in our case study).
Now that the pilot program is complete, control and management of the platform falls under Ami’s team, who will continue to engage with MSUFCU members through relevant, informative push notification messaging.
MSUFCU has been a wonderful partner and we’re so ready (SO ready!) to see how they continue to use our technology to help their members!
