Lindsay Aspegren is the Larky Board Chair and General Partner at North Coast Technology Investors, LP. North Coast is an early-stage venture capital fund focused on the Midwest. Since inception, the firm has systematically built a strong network of relationships with major corporations, research universities and institutional venture capital firms.
Gregg Hammerman is the CEO of Larky and is passionate about helping organizations better communicate and engage with their audiences. David Fry is a long-time technology solutions and e-commerce innovator. In 1994, he established one of the first e-commerce integration companies in Ann Arbor, Michigan, ultimately processing billions of dollars of transactions per year for companies like Ann Taylor, Crate & Barrel, and Whirlpool. In 2008, David sold the business to MICROS Systems (now Oracle), and developed NPI Ventures, a network of publishing service organizations that complement his family's printing business, Fry Communications, in central Pennsylvania, where he also serves as CTO. An active Michigan angel investor, he has a PhD in computer science from Harvard University.
Andy Kempf is the CEO of 4Front Credit Union in Traverse City, Michigan. Kempf found his way to the credit union industry via traditional banking, beginning his career in commercial lending with a mid-regional bank. He served as CEO of Preferred Credit Union in Grand Rapids prior to leading the former Traverse City-headquartered Members Credit Union. Members Credit Union welcomed the membership of Charlevoix-based Bay Winds Federal Credit Union following the 2015 merger that produced 4Front. Prior to being named CEO, he served as 4Front's president for five years.
Danne Buchanan is a dynamic leader who maximizes the bottom line via experience in Global Financial Services Operations, Strategic Analysis / Planning, Global Payment Processes, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Product Development, and can consistently see the “big picture” at all times. Creative thinker who can make sound decisions to reflect positively on financial operations in alignment with a company’s vision, value, and goals to achieve a significant competitive advantage, and who serves as a mission-focused collaborator who builds beneficial partnerships. An early fintech innovator, Danne holds five patents in Check Imaging and Remote Deposit Capture.
Ami Iceman-Haueter is the Vice President of Research and Digital Experience at MSU Federal Credit Union. Ami brings a deep knowledge of member experience development to the board. Currently, she works across business divisions at MSUFCU to improve digital experiences for members. Additionally, she specializes in research and advisory projects and works in AI and feedback analysis. Before joining MSUFCU, Ami spent seven years in brand management with M3 Group, a branding and marketing company. Ami is a well-known speaker at industry conventions and her expertise with AI wisdom will bring great perspective and innovation to the board.
Amy Herbig’s inextinguishable passion and expertise in business strategy, marketing, and execution spans as far and wide as her love for building relationships and delivering results. Having worked for a multi-billion-dollar credit card company and apprentice under several top-ranked advertising and marketing professionals in the nation, Amy found her calling in 2002 as the head of marketing for a mid-size credit union in Seattle, WA. In just 3-years, the industry took notice and credit unions began to call upon Amy’s diverse insight and expertise to help them through their business and marketing challenges. Amy answered the call by starting The BA Group in 2005. Today, BA is comprised of a network of professionals supporting Amy’s vision and passion for the industry, joining her as they help credit unions analyze, plan, develop and implement business, marketing, branding, digital marketing, and analytical efforts – leading to awareness and growth for their partners.
Steve Reich is a Fintech veteran, consultant, and angel investor. Formerly the Chief Partnerships Officer for Malauzai at Finastra. Steve brings 30 years of broad partnering, sales, and operational experience with companies such as Malauzai, Digital Insight, and Treasury Services Corporation. Steve’s background spans sales, marketing, customer support, strategic relationships, and software implementation.
Doug Leighton is the former Head of Visa’s Community Account segment where he led a 45-person team responsible for the sales and relationship management of ~7,500 US-based Community Banks and Credit Unions. In that role, he coordinated a variety of efforts designed to provide the best of Visa’s products, services, resources and people – all tailored to drive the success of Community Banks and Credit Unions.
Bhavesh Shah is the VP, Data Management Strategy at Kinecta Federal Credit Union. He brings more than 18 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics; machine learning, and strategy in the banking and consumer finance industries. He has a particular focus on emerging technologies and alternative ways of doing business and their implications on omnichannel and digital transformation.
